F´ Tutorials

The F´ tutorial is intended to help new users familiarize themselves with the F´ framework and tool suite. Instructors will walk through the LED Blinker Tutorial, covering the following:

  • Software Modeling using the F Prime Prime (FPP) Domain Specific Language
  • Component Implementation
  • Deploying to hardware and using the F Prime ground system
The tutorials themselves are free, however registration is required when held at conferences and advance enrollment is requested to confirm a seat.

Software Training

The F´ team offers workshops for both newcomers and experienced users. These workshops are held at JPL, are free to attend, and are by invitation only. Seating is limited. To request an invitation, follow the link to the request form in the corresponding event listing below.

Introduction to Flight Software and F Prime

This annual 3-day workshop covers fundamentals of flight software architecture, design, general programming practices and verification. The workshop also includes a tutorial on the F Prime open source flight software product line, which serves as the basis for a hands-on coding exercise emphasizing key concepts discussed in the workshop.

This 2-day workshop builds upon the Introduction to Flight Software and F Prime workshop, focusing on more advanced software development concepts using the F Prime framework. Prerequisites include a solid grasp of F Prime fundamentals and successful completion of the LED Blinker tutorial.
