JPL is hosting two workshops in February 2026: the Flight Software Development Workshop February 9 – 11, and the Advanced F Prime Software Development Workshop February 12 – 13. Both workshops are free and participation is by invitation, which can be requested online.
Flight Software Development Workshop | February 9 – 11, 2026
The Flight Software Development Workshop is the same 3-day event that was originally scheduled for October 2025. It covers fundamentals of flight software architecture, design, general programming practices and verification, with hands-on coding exercises utilizing F Prime. An invitation to this workshop can be requested through this online form. If you have already submitted a request for the October workshop, no further action is required. Your request will be carried over for the new dates.
Advanced F Prime Software Development Workshop | February 12 – 13, 2026
The Advanced F Prime Software Development Workshop is a new, 2-day event intended for F Prime users that are already familiar with the framework basics and the software development concepts covered in the introductory Flight Software Development Workshop. Topics in the advanced workshop include project setup, overview of featured design patterns, and advanced modeling capabilities and testing approaches. The workshop features an in-class lab assignment to be completed by teams of participants. An invitation to this workshop can be requested through this online form.
